What We Do

Deacons Dinner

A yearly dinner which honors our Deacons, their wives, and families is held to give a sincere Thank You for their commitment to the Church.

Bi-monthly Luncheon

We meet every 1st and 3rd Friday of the month at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Shiloh.  (NOTE: this is a change in venue going forward)   Mass begins at 11:00 AM, followed by a short meeting, prominent speaker or educational program, and an optional lunch at a nearby restaurant.

Monthly Holy Hour

Integral to our mission of promoting vocations is prayer. Every 2nd Wednesday of the month at 4:00 P.M., Serrans join with the Poor Clare Sisters at their monastery for Adoration and the Rosary. All are welcome!

Priests Picnic

Serrans host a yearly celebration for all priests (both active and retired) of the Belleville Diocese to show our heartfelt appreciation for accepting their call to Priesthood.

Sister’s Luncheon

Serrans host a yearly Luncheon for the Sisters in the Belleville diocese in appreciation of all their services to the community.

Tours for Youth

Fostering an interest in the priesthood or consecrated life starts young.  We facilitate visits for local young women and men to learn more.

We are officially recognized by the Holy See

The Vatican recognizes Serra International as the only global lay apostolate for vocations in the Catholic Church.  Serra Club of St. Clair County is an affiliate of Serra International.

A Prayer for Priests

Gracious God,

You have called us through Baptism to discipleship believing in your Son, Jesus Christ, who has sent us to bring the Good News of salvation to the world. We pray to you, asking that you grant us more priests and religious who will help us build up your Church in the Diocese of Belleville and the world. Stir up the grace of a religious vocation in the hearts of many of our youth. Grant to them the willingness and generosity to give of themselves in service to our Lord Jesus and his people. May a new generation of priests, deacons, sisters, and brothers be a sign of your presence among us. We ask this in the name of Jesus the Lord.

Amen
